   Dost thou know who made thee
Gave thee life and bid thee feed.
By the stream and o'er the mead;
Gave thee clothing of delight,
Softest clothing wooly bright;
Gave thee such a tender voice,
Making all the vales rejoice!

He is called by thy name,
For he calls himself a Lamb:
He is meek and he is mild,
He became a little child:
I a child and thou a lamb,

這是一首很短的詩歌，卻改變了我。

那是中學二年級的時候。學校舉辦第一屆英文詩歌朗誦比賽，我班的英語老師選了我去參賽。接受了這個任命後，在老師的指導下，我每天努力練習。老師的指導非常仔細，除了英語發音外，還要我注意語調的抑揚頓挫，感情的表達和動作的配合。在詩歌已經練習得滾瓜爛熟時，老師就帶我到禮堂，練習上下台。沒想到老師說我走路的姿勢太驕傲，要修正！於是又花了不少時間走上台，走下台…直到老師滿意為止。

終於比賽了。我得了冠軍！

比賽後的第二天，我還是很興奮。但美術課的老師在上課時告訴我們，比賽結果出來時，有幾位老師有質疑，他們認為一個D班的學生怎麼可以得冠軍！沒錯，我當時上的是2D班，一個成績不好的學生的班。老師接著說還好大多數老師都認為我的表現實在出色，不應該因為學習成績一時的落後就否定了學生的其他優點。這樣，我才終於得了冠軍。

這一次的比賽，有兩位給我鼓勵，給我力量的老師，讓我明白努力的重要，也讓我重建信心。在我人生的路上點燃了兩盞燈；而這首詩歌也永遠留在了我的生命裡。
